Cheat Lake Trails & Parks

The 46 acre park and trail are now officially open on the shores of Cheat Lake.  A 4.5 mile trail runs from the Lake Lynn Dam to the Cheat Haven nature viewing area. A park, complete with a children's play area, picnic sites, day-use boat docking, facilities, fishing access and car-top boat launching is situated between Rubles Run and Morgan's Run.

The park and the section of trail to the power station will be open year round and nighttime fishing is allowed.  The section of trail south of Mannings Run will only be open from April 1 - Oct. 31.   The Department of Natural Resources has been contracted to provide security for the park and trail.

Directions: Take exit 10 (Cheat Lake) off I-68, then go north on 857 to Morgan Run Rd.  Turn left onto Morgan Run Rd and follow it to the park.
