There are very few houses that are available for short term rentals.  Most properties are privately owned.  Here are the best options for staying on or near Cheat Lake.

There are no official campgrounds on the lake. However there are locations accessible by boat where you can camp.  There are two parks close by where you can camp, Coopers Rock State Forest & Chestnut Ridge Park.  Both parks have spaces available for RV's and towable campers.

Yes, but there is no way to reserve the Cheat Lake Park, it is open to the public. There are picnic tables, public restrooms, beach, and playground.  You will need to bring a portable grill.

The Cheat Lake shoreline is part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-licensed Lake Lynn Project boundary, owned and operated by Lake Lynn Generation LLC. Shoreline uses and activities require a permit from Lake Lynn Generation.
