Activities Nearby
The Morgantown and Cheat Lake areas provide activities for everyone. If you want to enjoy a nice dinner in town or head into the woods to camp you can do it all. Coopers Rock & Snake Hill provide some of the most easily accessible and scenic views in the state.
Whitewater Rafting

The Cheat River provides some of the premier whitewater in the area. With varying degrees of rapids there are options for everyone. You get to experience some of the best views and scenery the Cheat Canyon has to offer.

Rock Climbing
​
Coopers Rock State Forest has some of the most popular rock climbing and bouldering in the entire area. There are very easily accessible and marked routes located near the parking area.
Zip Line Canopy Tour
​
Located nearby Cheat Lake is the WVU Adventure Center. The facility has a zip line course complete with several stations, suspension bridges, and rappelling lines. The facility is open to the public but does require advanced booking.
